Demo System Count Exceeded

The General Store checks for the Security Device on startup. The security device must be plugged into your parallel port before you start the General Store.

If the General Store gives a Demo System Count Exceeded Error During Start-Up, Check the following:

Stand-Alone:

  1. Make sure the security device (green) is firmly seated in the parallel port.
  2. Make sure that the Operating System wasn't changed to network.

Network:

  1. Make the computer with the security device the first one into the General Store.
  2. Make sure the date and time on all computers are correct.
  3. Make sure your security device is a Multi-User device (gray, black, or red), and not green.
